Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
The scope of this statement applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, and third parties working for, or on behalf of, RGA.
RGA is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its business and throughout its supply chains. We expect the same high standards from all organisations with whom we work and do business.
This statement has been reviewed and updated following consideration of our previous modern slavery and human trafficking arrangements. It sets out the actions taken by RGA to understand potential modern slavery risks related to our operations and supply chains, and the steps taken, and where appropriate enhanced, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking do not take place within our business or supply chain. We recognise our responsibility to take a robust and proportionate approach to addressing these risks.
RGA is a specialist provider of business change and technology consultancy to public and private businesses. Our operations are primarily professional-services based and are predominantly UK-based.
Our supply chain primarily consists of specialist subcontractors, consultants, software and cloud service providers, and professional services suppliers. While the overall risk of modern slavery within our direct operations is considered low, we recognise that risks may arise within wider supply chains and remain committed to managing these proactively.
We expect all suppliers, contractors, and partners to share our commitment to ethical and lawful working practices. RGA does not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of its business or supply chain and enforces clear standards of compliance.
As part of our commitment to combat modern slavery and human trafficking, and to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate areas of risk, RGA has implemented the following measures:
- Regular review of our management systems, policies, and procedures
- Use of reputable recruitment agencies and labour providers, with a requirement that they demonstrate compliance with modern slavery legislation prior to engagement
- Communication of our policies to subcontractors and suppliers, including our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy, and expectations that they comply with relevant laws and regulations
- Supplier due diligence processes, including requests for information on compliance with health and safety, quality, environmental, equality, anti-corruption, modern slavery and human trafficking standards, and insurance requirements
- Verification of employees’ right to work in the UK, with the expectation that suppliers and subcontractors undertake equivalent checks in accordance with applicable legislation
- Commitment to fair pay practices, ensuring compliance with minimum wage legislation and fair employment standards
- Training and ongoing awareness for employees, beginning at induction and continuing throughout employment, to ensure understanding of modern slavery risks and expected standards of behaviour
- Clear reporting mechanisms enabling employees and third parties to raise concerns regarding potential breaches of this policy via line management, HR, or the whistleblowing procedure
- All reports raised under the whistleblowing process are treated confidentially and investigated appropriately.
Through these actions, RGA is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its activities and across its supply chain. We will continue to monitor and review our processes regularly to ensure ongoing compliance. Where our risk profile changes, we will revisit and strengthen our controls accordingly.
This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes RGA’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 2025.
